HPE provided and installed a new building HVAC system consisting of central station air handling units with variable air volume units throughout office and conference rooms, as well as computer room air conditioning units (CRAC) for laboratory and server spaces. All systems were tied into a centralized utility plant piping which feeds the building with campus domestic water, chilled water, and steam through an underground prefabricated piping conduit, installed by HPE. Additionally, HPE provided and installed a steam-to-steam heat exchanger which feeds the building air supply to maintain desired indoor humidity levels.
