This project was a two story addition to the current Colorado College Athletic Complex and included a new gym & basketball court, weight rooms, a cardio loft, yoga studio, sauna-equipped locker rooms and administrative offices.
Airflow for the building is provided via a 37,000 CFM energy recovering Air Handling Unit from Trane. This unit feeds terminal boxes and fan-powered terminal boxes throughout the building which control the heating & cooling by area. While the chilled water and heating water are both generated in a mechanical plant in the existing complex, a booster system in the mechanical room provides the necessary flows to achieve the heating & cooling load in the Athletic Facility.
